Shopping til We Dropped!

Thanksgiving night, we decided to start our shopping early. We headed to Wal-Mart around 10:00 pm to get in line for TV's and laptops. My mom, Holly, Heather, and Sherry (Heather's friend from work) got in line and received tickets for TV's. When Jill and I got there, we just hopped in line with them and waitied, and waited, and waited!

Wal-Mart this year, did something really different. Cetain things went on sale at certain times and you could only purchase items after they 'went on sale'. For the TV's you had to have a ticket...and continue to wait in line. Then you recieved a wrist band at 2:00 am. Once you had your wrist band, you could leave the store -- but you had to come back between 5:00 and 6:00 am to pick up your items or they would give them away to someone else.

Jill decided to do some shopping while we were waiting and got a basketball goal for Jase for Christmas. After we got the basketball goal, we went to check out (major disaster!). We hopped in line, and stood there for about 45 minutes. I think my blood pressure got really low, because I started to feel like I was going to pass out. I grabbed a Diet Mountain Dew to see if that would make me feel better, but it didn't. So, I grabbed a Snicker's bar...and I started to feel a little better. We changed lines, and while Jill paid, I went to sit down. I started to feel a little better by the time we were leaving.

After Wal-Mart, Jill and I went to Toy's 'R Us. While she waited outside in the line (that stecthed all the way to TJ Maxx) I laid down for a little bit in the car. We picked up a few more things for the boys for Christmas. After Toy's 'R Us, we went by the mall to see how long the line to Belk was for the giftcards. It wasn't too long, so we decided to get some Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A opened at 2:00 am. We pulled in the parking lot at 2:07 am and the line was already around the building. We made a few phone calls and took orders for everyone, because they were now waiting in line (in the rain) at Belk.

Once we got breakfast, we headed to the mall. We stood in line at Belk for about 45 minutes (in the rain) until 4:00 am. Of course there were way too many people for the 250 gift cards they had to hand out, so people were starting to get a little crazy. At 4:00 am, we entered Belk and got our gift cards, then we ran straight to JCPenney to get a Mickey Mouse Snowglobe. This is something we have always done with my mom, but now I want to start collecting them for Kaden. After JCPenney, we ran upstairs to the Customer Service desk to wait in line for a BL giftcard. We met Brenda, Sharon and Allison in this line! After we got all of our giftcards, it was time to shop. We went to Gymboree and Children's Place. I got Kaden some blue jeans for $6.00!

Our last stop was Target (stupid decision). We went in to find puff vests and some toys, 2 1/2 hours later (after waiting in line), we were finally out of there. We headed to Mike and Brenda's were all the kids were with Mike and Kevin and Jason. This was the first time I have ever left Kaden over night. It didn't feel like I was leaving him all night...since I was awake the whole time. He slept really good for Kevin and didn't get up until 6:30 am Friday morning. Once Jill and I made it home, all the boys and kids were up and ready to go for the day.

Jill and I laid down for about 30 minutes to an hour and then it was lunch time. Jason, Kevin and Jase were going to run to Krystal for us. They took our order and left. 45 minutes later, Kevin calls me and says they are stuck in the mud behind the neighborhood swimming pool. I seriously thought they were joking. He asked me if I would bring a chain and the Jeep to come and pull them out. I thought they were sitting somewhere, waiting for me to walk out the door and then scare me, but I was wrong. They really were stuck. Mike and I drove down there to get them. I picked up Jase and took him back home and then went to get our Krystals that we wanted an hour before.

We ate lunch, finally and the boys cleaned the cars...and then we finally made it home. We watched football that night. I slept from 6:00 pm until Kevin went to get us dinner. I woke up to eat and then went straight back to sleep! I was worn out from all our shopping! It was a good night and lots of fun....but I don't know that I will stay up ALL night again!
