Oh well -- maybe next time!Sunday: we actually both were able to go to church and lunch at our favorite resturant Ichiban! Then we kept Jacob while Bryan was at work and Ashley went to clean up a consignment sale. Even though it was only for a few hours, we had so much fun! We played with toys, tried to sleep, played with more toys, tried to sleep again, ate and then finally went to sleep! Once he fell asleep, he was good...but he fought it for a while! We had lots of fun keeping Jacob for the first time -- he is such a good baby!
Sunday night, we went to dinner with Brenda, Bryan, Ashley, and Jacob at Steak-n-Shake. I had a double chocolate fudge milk shake and it was just perfect! I LOVE milkshakes from there!
Monday morning, we woke up and cleaned our house. Its funny how stuff piles up when you aren't home but a few hours everyday for a week...and when you are home, we are asleep most of those hours! After cleaning, we went to lunch with one of my good friends, Bri, at the local mexican resturant. I haven't seen her in a while and it was good to catch up with her! Hopefully, we can get together when she comes in town again!
After lunch, we headed to Ringgold for a day of swimming and a cookout. As soon as Jase arrived, we changed into our bathing suits and piled into the FJ to ride to the pool.
BEFORE we ever made it to the pool, Kevin, Jason, and Jase thought it would be a good idea to go 'off road'. We started out pretty slow...but this is how we ended up....

The FJ got stuck in mud and it was pretty deep. We tried and tried to climb out, but we were stuck in mostly water and mud and we were not going to get out of there. Jase thought it was hilarious....for about 4 or 5 minutes, but then he was ready to go swimming again! We climbed out of FJ (in the mud) and had to walk to the pool.
Jase had a blast playing with Uncle Kevin in the pool....and I actually got some much needed sun! After swimming, we still had to dig the car out of the mud hole, so Kevin's dad went to get a chain and pull him out! Then we had to wash it off....it was fun....but a nightmare!
After dinner, Jase decided he wanted some milk. So he just drank it straight from the carton. I asked him who taught him that, and he said "Mommy and Daddy". That was a relief, because he usually says, "Uncle Kevin!" (Jill has the picture - when she emails it to me, I will post it)
Kevin then fed Jax his second bottle for the night....he is getting lots of practice!
someone had a VERY busy weekend:) I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad that we were able to hang out:) Love ya bunches:)
