Our last month....Warning: Long Post and Lots of Pictures

First of all....this is my car now. We got a Honda Pilot back in April and I LOVE it! I love that it has third row and leather...but, it doesn't feel huge. This is my 'mommy car'! And I can't wait for Kaden to be here! This picture is one of a work still in progress. I got this plate rack for Christmas and we still haven't decided where we are going to hang it --but, I think we have it figured out now! The plates stand for Kevin, me, Kaden and Moses! It is going to look super cute when we finally hang it!

Here are a few pictures of the cradle that Kevin's mom gave us at our first shower. It is adorable!!! It matches our bedroom and is going to be perfect for the first few months when Kaden gets here! The bedding that goes with it is so cute and perfect too!!
Next, we have had a few....or should I say SEVERAL projects going on around the house in preparation for the hot summer and the arrival of our little Kaden. These new fans are finally installed on our back porch and we are planning a dinner out there to enjoy how awesome these are as an addition to our big back porch. Now, we can enjoy our hot summer nights out there!
Here are a few pictures of our new breakfast area table! We have had this for about 6 months and never found the time to put it together. One Saturday, while Kevin was working...I dove in and started putting it together! Two hours later, here are the results! I am so happy with it and it looks so much better than our older one!
Next, we had a guy come to put up a chair rail in our dining room...and it looks great! We still have to paint it....but, it shouldn't take too long and hopefully we can get this done before we go on vacation.Next, we had a friend come and put up crown molding in our spare bedrooms and hallway and it turned out GREAT!!!!
This same guy came and put up fans and crown molding in our spare bedrooms and a chair rail in Kaden's nursery! He did an awesome job and we are thrilled with the results! Now...let's move to KADEN and the nursery! I can't believe how lucky we are and how much stuff we already have for our little boy! We are very appreciative! These are piles of clothes that we already have for Kaden....I don't think I will have to do laundry for the first few months!
I have also made a few things for Kaden and his room! These are just a few of the items I have made so far.
These are going to have his initials on them. This is the fabric that my mom is using to make his bedding! It is ADORABLE!!!!I also painted these storage boxes to match the room and his fabric....I covered the top of the boxes in the same fabric again!
I also am in the process of making closet dividers for his closet! They are the same green and will be hung with a ribbon to separate his different sizes of clothes!
Now....here is a look at the nursery before:Here are a few pictures of us taping off the stripes (horrible!!!!)...This will more than likely be a once in a lifetime project. If we have any more children, let's just say he/she WILL NOT have stripes in their rooms! :)AND-- here is a look at the final project!!! I am so happy with the results!!! Kevin worked really hard to make my vision of this room come true!!! He will never know how happy this room makes me -- and that we did it together makes it even better!

We have been so busy the past month (since I have been out of school) working around the house trying to get everything ready for our little boy! I have also taken three summer graduate classes this month and Monday will be my last day in classes for ever!!! (hopefully I won't change my mind!!!)

We are both so excited about Kaden....but, now I am worn out and ready for a break!!! We are leaving for Myrtle Beach tomorrow and will be gone for 10 days! I can't wait to sit on the beach and relax for the last time before I become a mommy! I can't wait to spend time with Kevin....on the beach....and enjoy each other before we are no longer just the two of us!!

  2. I love Kaden's room! You both did great. Blake said the same thing about the stripes after he did Harper's first room. It's so cute but a lot of work! I want to see a pic of you and your belly!! Hope you're feeling good!
